A few weeks ago, I took the boys to the ballet. The ballet we saw was "Cinderella." It was probably one of the worst ballets to take the boys to. First, most of the dancing had no story line to go with it. Second, they changed a lot of the story, which was not good for my exacting children. Third, it was 2 1/2 hours long. However, it provided some humorous moments.
Dominic turned to me about halfway through to ask, "Why is there so much dancing?" Because it's a ballet?
Xavier was really focused on the ballet, and I thought, "Wow! He's really getting into this." Shortly after I thought that, he turned to me and said, "How far back do you think that stage goes?"
Finally, and this was the one that takes the cake, as far as I'm concerned, in the last scene (that made no sense) they had a sort of runway that was 5 or 6 steps off the floor. The dancers walked down the runway and down the steps. Dominic said to me, "Why don't they jump off?" He just could not understand why they would walk down when it would be so much more fun to jump off.
