A boy needs his dad. My boys miss their dad when he is gone, which is too often. So, when he is home, they soak him up like parched land soaks up the rain- sometimes, the land is too dry to accept the water, and the rain runs off the land and floods where it finds low ground. In this case, it takes some time for the ground to be receptive to the water.
I can't believe that it has been almost a year since Gary came home from his last deployment. Granted, he has been gone a lot recently, but since they have been short jaunts, the boys have not gotten so parched as to reject the love coming their way.

Tonight, Gary is taking Gabriel to his first concert, to see Shinedown. I think that I am the most excited about it, although it is hard to tell with Gabriel, since he has become so stoic. I can't wait to hear all about it... tomorrow. Gary and I went to see STP last night, and I am a wee bit tired. It'll be an early night for me. But, while I'm sleeping, my men will be bonding, and nothing could be better.
