A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far away... I was able to get My children wanted to to do theme costumes. This was the progression: ghosts; Batman and Robin; Superman, Batman, and the Green Lantern; soldiers and a clown (yes, I know); pirates & parrot (family costume, with Dominic as the parrot); a zoo; three Batman villains; Three Muskateers... And then it all fell apart.  Last year, they had determined to go as three different ages of Anikan Skywalker, which I thought would be hilarious, but Xavier backed out at the last minute. Now, Dominic has his costumes planned out for the next 10 Halloweens, so we're all out of luck. Fortunately, they have a lot of fun coming up with costumes. My all time favorite was when Xavier went as the muscle system.  That was quite the costume to make!

This year we had:

Indiana Jones Desert Trooper
Indiana Jones Desert Trooper
One of the reasons Dominic has his costumes planned out is Indiana Jones. He has at least three costumes planned from Indiana Jones.

It was really a Lord of the Rings kind of night. Had Dominic dressed as someone from Lord of the Rings, Gary and I would have joined. He didn't though, so we fell back on our trusty pirate costumes.

  1. Heated arguments yesterday as Billy tried to organize a Star Wars theme for NEXT year's Halloween. I told him he had to wait at least 10 months before talking about next Halloween. Fritz has already decided to be Hercule Poirot, which I think would be hilarious, but doubt anyone would know who he was. We'll see how he feels next fall.

  2. My kids start planning the next Halloween on their way home from trick or treating. They talk about it all year long. By the way, Bill has a real talent. Maybe I could hire him to teach Gary... See, there could be some money in it!

Please, be respectful. We're all friends here. We can disagree with respect.
